What is the Benton Habitat ReStore?The Benton Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet that makes available new and gently used merchandise at a fraction of normal prices. In addition to raising funds to build Habitat homes, the ReStore helps the environment by putting materials into use instead of into landfills.
What does the Benton ReStore sell?
Sale items may consist of but are not limited to: home appliances, furniture, cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, hardware, roofing, tools, doors, timber, flooring, windows and paint. Check back often, our inventory changes frequently!
How are the items priced?
Items are sold to the public at 40-80% off the retail price.
Can I place an item on hold?
Yes. Items may be placed on hold for 24 hours.
I found an item I like but it's too big to take home today. Can I still buy it?
Yes. Sold items can remain at the ReStore for 3 business days. If they are not picked up within 3 days, they are considered a donation back to the store. We also offer a delivery service ($20 charge) which you can discuss with our ReStore volunteers at the time of purchase.
Does the Benton ReStore have any specials?
Every Wednesday is Senior Discount Day, when patrons over the age of 55 enjoy 10% off all merchandise! All Benton Habitat volunteers also enjoy 20% off merchandise.
Are purchases returnable?
Purchases may be exchangeable for another item of a similar price. Big sale items may be returnable for cash or credit within 3 business days. For a return or an exchange to take place, a receipt must be presented. Items bought at other ReStores will not be eligible for the return/exchange policy at the Benton ReStore.

• Furniture - Home or antique (no excessive wear, tear or stains)
• Hardware (e.g. knobs, hinges, locks, nails, screws, nuts, bolts and fasteners)
• Insulation
• Lighting products
• Lumber (4 ft or longer. Sheet stock at least 4' x 4'.)
• Paint (in full containers) and painting supplies
• Pipe/PVC/Metal/Copper
• Roofing Materials/Siding
• Tools
• Wallpaper (unused)
• Windows (vinyl, aluminium, wood)
Items we do not accept
• Bedding (E.g. bedframes, mattresses, sofabeds, boxsprings and bedding of any kind)
• Bicycles & Bicycle/Car parts
• Broken Glass
• Chemical/Yard/Toxic Materials
• Clothing
• Old TV Sets & Electronic/audio/video components
• Partial cans of paint
• Used mini-blinds or venetian blinds
How do I go about donating an item?
You can drop your item off at our ReStore between 9am-4.30pm from Tuesdays through Saturday. To schedule a local pickup, call our ReStore at 541-752-6637.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, contributions of in-kind products to registered 501 (c)(3) organizations are tax deductible.
Volunteering Questions
What are the volunteering opportunities present at the ReStore?We are always looking for interested volunteers to assist with cashiering, customer service, product procurement, store maintenance, stocking, and repair among many other activities.
