Global Village team helps raise walls
A Global Village team is a team of volunteers who donate their time to building affordable homes in the U.S. and overseas with Habitat for Humanity. Team members pay the full cost of their trip AND give a donation to Habitat for Humanity's international program AND give a donation to the local Habitat chapter. We are grateful for the support the team has provided to our partner families and to our work in Benton County. We feel privileged that we could host this great group of people in our town. We thank all those who helped with the planning and implementation of the trip. Here are only a few names: Carolyn Hinds, Ann Kimerling, Sharon Rosenkoetter and the many volunteers from the Grace Lutheran Church who provided all the lunches and hosted the team for dinner on Friday, Paul Smith and other volunteers who hosted the welcome BBQ for the team, LaRoca restaurant and Gathering Together farm who hosted a special meal, Hull Oakes Lumber and Thompson Mills State Park for giving a guided tour of their respective sites. Our construction supervisors Kevin Burton, Dave Sanders and Al Moss who led the team on the construction site.
